  • University Building Hours Spring 2021

    The New School will gradually phase in in-person activities in Spring 2021, with a limited number of students, faculty, and staff physically on our New York City campus. Access to academic buildings is by reservation only. The four buildings below will be open Monday - Friday and closed on the weekends from January 4th through May 10th. 

    All individuals permitted to be on campus will be required to provide daily screening information: 

    Student Access for Regular Campus Visits of one or more days per week over the course of the semester: If you are permitted to be on campus on a regular basis, COVID-19 testing is required to gain access to any academic buildings. Please visit the Procedures for Reserving Campus Resources site for information about requirements and reserving space in academic buildings.

    Student Access for Campus Visits of less than one full day per week over the course of the semester: If you need to enter a building briefly to retrieve belongings from your locker, please select the building below and complete the reservation form.

    Faculty and Staff Access for Intermittent Campus Visits (less than one full day per week over the course of the semester): If you require brief access to campus of less than an hour to pick up belongings, please select the building you wish to visit below and complete the reservation form. Access is limited to members of The New School Community.

    University Center, 63 Fifth Avenue:

    You will now be allowed to reserve 30 minute sessions in the University Center (UC) cafeteria to eat your lunch or dinner. Access to the UC is in addition to your assigned building access. Appropriate PPE and social distancing is required. You may remove your mask while eating in your assigned area.
